Flying My Kite

Our neighbors Bob and Julie gave Sage a kite after Sage spotted them flying one with their son Travis who is 13 and Sage loves. Here he is having a blast in the backyard getting his kite up all by himself.

This past Thursday we had the joy of first having our friends Rhonda and her twin girls Jacobi and Maddox over for a pancake breakfast and a beautiful morning out playing in the back yard. Then Sage went to school the girls went down for a nap and then one of my best girlfriends Casey came over sat with the girls while I picked up Sage from school and then we all had lunch with her two boys Ayden who is the same age as the girls and Jake 2 months old. We all hang out for lunch, some fun in the sun, and then bath time. Thanks for the fun day and wonderful memories.

This morning Sage had his very first dentist appointment. Dr. Okamoto's pediatric dentistry has such a wonderful office, with so much for kids to do and explore. Sage got to play while I filled out the initial paperwork and then they called us over. He had his teeth cleaned and giggled the whole time because it tickled. No cavities and everything looked great. He loved every minute of it, especially picking out surprises at the end. It was a wonderful experience and will be back in six months.

Tennis anyone?!?!...so my side job is being a paparazzo. One of the very neat things about working at the La Qunita Resort is that we always have celebrities staying in house and especially come tennis season or any other big event. The main tennis court at the resort in right next to the Spa, so as I was walking in to start my day Andy Roddick was practicing on the court. Just happened to have my camera in my purse from the birthday party I left before coming to work. So from the staircase that leads up to the Spa employee entrance I snapped a couple pictures through the fruit trees. We aren't supposed to go down and watch, so I had to be sneaky. Good thing for zoom.

This past weekend we celebrated with our friends the Gough's. Their twin daughters Faith and Grace turned 3. It was a beautiful day out and the kids enjoyed playing and eating and even Sage had a blast in his pink polo at the Princess party. Thank you Catherine and Morgan for letting us share in the special day.

Moments like these...

One of my most favorite things about being a Mommy is those moments when my children are so sweet and kind to one another. When they are twins it's even more so because they are truly each other's best friend and understand each other so well. I thought this was so sweet and Aaron and I always catch the girls giving each other hugs and kisses without Mommy and Daddy's requesting to do so, it just melts our hearts.

Last night our dear friends Kenny and Kris had their first baby, a little girl, Aubrey Lena at 8:34 p.m., 6lbs. 3oz., 20 inches long! Aaron and I were both able to make it in time to be there for the delivery. Thank you Mom for sitting with the kiddos so we could be there. Aaron and Kenny have been friends since they were fifteen and to see his best friend finally become a Daddy was very emotional. We love you both so much and are so happy for you. This precious baby girl is the most amazing gift from God and you have so many more wonderful moments to look forward to. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for letting us share one of those amazing moments with you last night. Welcome to the world beautiful baby girl Aubrey!
