Today I ended up coming home from work early so we were all able to go to Haden's 3rd birthday as a family. Haden in the son of one of Aaron's co-workers. We had a wonderful day playing, eating and enjoying great company. Thank you Czarny Family for letting us celebrate with you all!

Valentine's and a Half Marathon

Valentine's Day weekend was a great weekend. Aaron and I went out to dinner Valentine's Day at one of our favorite places PF Chang's. We had a nice cozy booth and I loaded up on carbs that I had been cutting back on since training for my half Marathon that I would be running the next day. We had a wonderful evening to reconnect, had great conversation and with no interruptions (thank you Casey for watching the kiddos).

The next day I ran my first half Marathon in Palm Springs. I had an awesome support team there to cheer me on. Aaron and the kiddos of course, Rhonda a great girlfriend of mine and running partner that also has twin girls, was there at 6:15 am with me before the race and Chris a massage therapist I work with at the Spa that has ran in 20 full marathons himself took all the pictures for us. It ended up being a beautiful day to run, since before there had been speculations of rain. So I headed out on my 13.1 mile journey and finished only 3 minutes passed my goal of 2:20, I ran it in 2:23! An accomplishment I am so very proud of.

Lord knows my body had just enough to get through that race. I could hardly walk for two days after and everyone in the family got sick. Thank you everyone for all of your prayer's that keep me strong and got me through. We are all still fighting a lingering cold but much better now. So April 5 in La Quinta I'll been running another half marathon and this time (Rhonda) will be joining me :) Here's to health and happy running. Thank you everyone who was apart of my day.
