Mom2Mom Week 4

A typical day in the Pinkerton house

Dog's and all

Sage helping out mommy when the girls
were smaller, boy time fly's.

Yesterday was week 4 of my Mom2Mom meeting at Southwest Church. Women who are our Mentor Moms sat up on a panel and answered questions we had for them. Everything from parenting, relationships, strong willed children, eating habits of kids etc. These women who "have been there and done that" gave the most honest and inspiring thoughts on how they raised their own, now grown children.

One thing that I took away from this is to take time to sit down and play with my children more. I think that for me I do this but am concerned with the quality of time that I'm spending with the kids. Between going to Moms Club, Twin Moms Club, Mom2Mom, speech therapy, the gym and cleaning the house, dinner, laundry, you get my point. I need to slow down. I don't want to be that Mom that says I wished I would have sat down and played with the kids more. Although we do a lot, go to parks, stay active and have fun I see that I need to live in the moment more. I'm not perfect but I sure do want to be the best Mommy that I can possibly be to my children and the best wife to Aaron.
Sage, Aja and Sydney, I love you with all my heart and look forward to seeing your precious faces and spending time with you every day. Mommy promises to be in the "now" more. You make me the happiest Mommy in the world I love you! Aaron you are the most patient, honest, trustworthy, loving husband and father thank you for constantly reminding me that I do a great job, I love you!

Live in the now, live in the moment and be so grateful and thankful for all that you have.

Wasn't that a GREAT reminder for all us busy moms? Time flies by so quickly and before you know it, our kids will be grown. Like you, I don't want to have any regrets. Here's to some precious moments and a fun-filled day with our kids!
